We recently received an Open Letter from a concerned Camfrog user Dr_Atkins who has asked us to publish a letter.


Dear friends ,

The freedom of religious expression and the right to free speech are two of the core foundations of a democratic society and must be protected at all costs.

But what happens when the two collide ?

Recently others and I have a noticed an increase in fundementalist faith rooms on Camfrog.

For some people the Creation, as a matter of religious belief, gives a meaning to life. Nevertheless, we are worried about the possible ill-effects of the spread of creationist ideas within Camfrog and about the consequences for our species. If we are not careful, creationism could become a threat to human rights which is a key concern.

Creationists question the scientific character of certain items of knowledge and argue that the theory of evolution is only one interpretation among others. They accuse scientists of not providing enough evidence to establish the theory of evolution as scientifically valid. On the contrary, they defend their own statements as scientific. None of this stands up to objective analysis.

We are witnessing a growth of modes of thought which, the better to impose religious dogma, are attacking the very core of the knowledge that we have patiently built up on nature, evolution, our origins and our place in the universe.

There is a real risk of a serious confusion being introduced into our children’s minds between what has to do with convictions, beliefs, ideals of all sorts and what has to do with science, and of the advent of an "all things are equal" attitude, which may seem appealing and tolerant but is actually disastrous.

Evolution is not simply a matter of the evolution of humans and of populations. Denying it could have serious consequences for the development of our societies. Advances in medical research with the aim of effectively combating infectious diseases such as AIDS are impossible if every principle of evolution is denied. One cannot be fully aware of the risks involved in the significant decline in biodiversity and climate change if the mechanisms of evolution are not understood.

Our modern world is based on a long history, of which the development of science and technology forms an important part. However, the scientific approach is still not well understood and this is liable to encourage the development of all manner of fundamentalism and extremism. The total rejection of science is definitely one of the most serious threats to human rights and civic rights.

The war on the theory of evolution and on its proponents most often originates in forms of religious extremism which are closely allied to extreme right-wing political movements. The creationist movements possess real political power. The fact of the matter, and this has been exposed on several occasions, is that some advocates of strict creationism are out to replace democracy by theocracy.

All leading representatives of the main monotheistic religions have adopted a much more moderate attitude. Pope Benedict XVI, for example, as his predecessor Pope John-Paul II, today praises the role of the sciences in the evolution of humanity and recognises that the theory of evolution is "more than a hypothesis".

The most intransigent of the supporters of creationism claim that the world was created by God in six days and maintain that the transformist or evolutionist theories that conflict with the Bible, according to which God created each plant or animal species individually, can only be lies. They say that science is wrong because, in the strictest possible sense, the Bible says something else – which reminds us, incidentally, of the trial of a man called Galileo.

Prohibiting the teaching of key theories, such as evolution, is totally against children’s educational interests. Education has a duty to be a means of enabling children, young people and adults to become important players in the transformation of societies, whereas adopting a denialist stance on scientifically proven theories constitutes a brake on education and the intellectual and personal development of thousands of children.

The knowledge it provides cannot be arbitrarily challenged. By denying proven facts, the creationist ideas do not contribute to the transformation of societies but to making them become archaic.

The creationists are in fact supporters of a radical return to the past, which could prove particularly harmful in the long term for all our societies. This is therefore a crucial issue.

As we have seen, evolution is not simply a matter of the evolution of humans and populations. It now pervades the whole of science and is one of its fundamental principles, so it appears legitimate to consider the consequences that denying evolution could have on the development of our societies. How, for example, can advances be made in medical research with the aim of effectively combating diseases like AIDS if every principle of evolution is denied? Basically, evolution pervades all medical research. How can we consider living in a world without medicine? That appears absurd, but removing the teaching of evolution from the curriculum, as advocated by the creationists, could result in a considerable reduction in, if not the end of, medical research.

In addition, the "scientific" approach adopted by the creationists to put forward and support their ideas is itself a particularly dangerous instrument of mental manipulation: presenting a thesis as a scientific theory without providing any evidence can be compared to an attempt to manipulate minds for purposes that are, moreover, scarcely virtuous. As Charles Otis Whitman, an American zoologist (1842-1910) wrote, "Facts without theory is chaos, but theory without facts is fantasy". Accordingly, as G. Lecointre notes, any clever manipulator relies on "facts" alone.

The science of evolution, like any science, does not claim to answer the question "why things are" but simply seeks to consider how they work.

Finally, there are, especially in the United States, a number of aberrations inherent in the denialism practised against evolution and in the accompanying proselytising. A documentary film by Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady, entitled Jesus Camp and released in the United States in autumn 2006, provides evidence of them. It shows a Pentecostal minister, Becky Fisher, who has opened in a North Dakota forest a holiday camp overtly devoted to the indoctrination of children. In front of the camera, she explains that from the age of 7 to 9 a human being can be made to believe anything and that that remains engraved in their brain for life. Fisher says she found her model among the Muslim fundamentalists. This documentary reveals all the violence and fanaticism of the most radical of the creationist movements and the effectiveness with which they succeed in manipulating human beings.

I urge the Encounter_God and House_Of_The_Lord rooms, who are known to be extremist Creationist rooms to become 18+ rooms and protect our children from the dangerous owners who teach these denialist stances.

Christian Hate Forum

The next thread we bring your attention to is an exciting ditty, the main thread in the other forum and our prime example , so far ,of the religious hatred that can found in the some of the God rooms and the people who frequent them.

Audrey once again sets the tone for this debacle, We bring you the best bits.

She writes

`The owner of this room is a power hungry person who kicks people out of her room for no reason. Celly accused someone of being someone else so disabled this person just on the assumption that he was his brother.`

She agrees with this blog , we have blogged about this on several occasions.

`This room is full of false Christians who do not know what it means to be Christ like.`

This is a wide ranging accusation

The next big post comes when someone makes an accusation to the people that are posting in the forum are just bullying Celly.

First on the scene was loftylover who complained in the most hilarious manner that Celly and the user who made the bullying accusation were judgmental and then made a judgemental decision right after in the next sentence , Sigmund Freud would of had a field day.

Next we have a vile little character called bounty_hunter trying to intimidate her with threats , makes accusations about her sexuality, and her religious faith.

Crikey lol- the language of these religious folks is particularly blue

The next one on the scene was _Mr_LoVeR_ another delightful character who said

` First of all you have not ONCE got celly the bitch on here to defend herself.Second of all you are atheist so how the fuck can you sit there and preach the fucking bible to anyone or say that everyone on here is bashing Celly ?????????????Your nopt GOD as your an athiest from what I remember and before you can come on here and say that loftylord is far from being a chrsitian like figure youy are nobody so before you talk a pound of shit why dont you get the fucking bitch CELLY on here so we can have a fair arguement when your just a fucking blue in the room and have no power at all.Leave celly defend herself is shes such a fucking gods follower she would of been here to talk but no shes fucking hidding because were telling the truth! `

Another member of the Encounter_God site says

I can stand up for myself, unlike Celly. She is the one who punished me for some fake reason and didn't have the balls to apologize. She just ran away. She likes to go private with new young men who go to her room. She needs to get a life. I did not ask her to go private and i never would because she is too ugly.

wow what accusations, you can now understand why the accuser was saying that the forum were bullying celly

and then more abuse by other various members and then a corker by our old friend bounty_hunter in big red ink stating the following

`On another note who said this is a christian forum. If it is 18+ then it is obviously NOT a christian forum. Grab a brain`

and then Finally at the time going to press Audrey sums up in her godly way but completely ignores the abuse on the forum .

A Brief History In Time

Three threads of interest on the other forum , we shall discuss them here in peace and tranquility.

The first

Audreys response in regards to her ban from House_Of_The_Lord

To give everyone some background knowledge on the subject.


The House_Of_The_Lord was originally ran by a group of kids who asked Pizzaboy5 to sponsor A Christian room on camfrog. So a room was setup where religious discussion was free and easy, a joy to go into and one of the most popular rooms in the general section of camfrog.

There was no rules outside the common curtesy of treating everybodies views with respect.

People from every religion and walk of life was made all different colors and peace , love and harmony reigned throughout the land.

The room owner at the time had his own life to lead so he so he left the room in safe hands with a few people and that when the troubles began.

The room started to turn nasty , religious bigotry started to raise its ugly head and Fundementalist Christian Faith took over.

You could no longer debate, They were right , you were wrong , appose them and you were disabled and/or banned

At this time Pizzaboy5 was taking an interest in the room and made a power grab for it because the room owner was gone. Who was there to oppose him ?

This was the time when Audrey was made the Head Admin of the room , She argued with people nuked , disabled and banned people on a whim and still noone else who was red in the room batted an eyelid. The people who should of done something didn't.

It got all too much for the congregation at the time, pizzaboy5 takeover of the room , Audreys bullying and the rise in fundementalist faith

The Congregation whose original room it was walked out and started up their own room.

Now we come to Audreys blog and were going to dissect it,

`Well to bring people up to date on what transpired since the last post about theis and to let those who did not know about it know. I was banned from the room House_Of_The_Lord about 6 months ago for not backing the room owner, Pizzaboy5,`

Here is the understanding that she originally backed pizzaboy5 in the grab of the room and anyone who apposed pizzaboy in the room was banned.

She then goes on to explain the abusive room colors and her demotion from red to black and then again agrees with what this blog says about the religious intolerance in certain rooms by stating `Funny how one can go from teacher to non-christian at the touch of a button and because someone wants to put down someone for disagreeing with them.What a sad case for Pizzaboy5 in him calling himself a Christian. I really don't believe he knows what a TRUE Christian is.`

Underneath this is even more religious hate by a user named Mario

Yes_I_Am_A_Jesus_Freak, you are the "ONLY" one still to this day that I know of that actually follows the ways of Christianty, out of the whole entire Camfrog site.The_House_Of_The_Lord ----> should of been called <--- "The_House_Of_Satan" owned and run by the false prophet himself, Pizzaboy5. Later through the thread there is even more abuse of pizzaboy5 even by the Administrator of the forum. and finally someone asks the question `Why on earth would a Christian ban another Christian from a room when Christians are supposed to care about each other and love each other ?`

Audrey feel free to post a response to that anytime you like, I would love to know the answer.

ThatFrogNews reputation brought into disrepute

A challenge has been made on another forum about the integrity of reports from ThatFrogNews.

The challenge being made is from Gods_Amazing_Grace who runs the Encounter_God room.

She says `This is a blog site that someone has started about camfrog and it has a lot of bashing the rooms in it. http://thatfrognews.blogspot.com/ I feel that these accusations are false and wrongly made. Beware of That_Frog_News as he is a spy for the blog. `

Could you please let us know what part of the reports you believe are not accurate ?

Surely if you going to open a U18 Christian room on Camfrog the last thing you need is a sexual predator as an operator.
