An Open Letter
We recently received an Open Letter from a concerned Camfrog user Dr_Atkins who has asked us to publish a letter.
Dear friends ,
The freedom of religious expression and the right to free speech are two of the core foundations of a democratic society and must be protected at all costs.
But what happens when the two collide ?
Recently others and I have a noticed an increase in fundementalist faith rooms on Camfrog.
For some people the Creation, as a matter of religious belief, gives a meaning to life. Nevertheless, we are worried about the possible ill-effects of the spread of creationist ideas within Camfrog and about the consequences for our species. If we are not careful, creationism could become a threat to human rights which is a key concern.
Creationists question the scientific character of certain items of knowledge and argue that the theory of evolution is only one interpretation among others. They accuse scientists of not providing enough evidence to establish the theory of evolution as scientifically valid. On the contrary, they defend their own statements as scientific. None of this stands up to objective analysis.
We are witnessing a growth of modes of thought which, the better to impose religious dogma, are attacking the very core of the knowledge that we have patiently built up on nature, evolution, our origins and our place in the universe.
There is a real risk of a serious confusion being introduced into our children’s minds between what has to do with convictions, beliefs, ideals of all sorts and what has to do with science, and of the advent of an "all things are equal" attitude, which may seem appealing and tolerant but is actually disastrous.
Evolution is not simply a matter of the evolution of humans and of populations. Denying it could have serious consequences for the development of our societies. Advances in medical research with the aim of effectively combating infectious diseases such as AIDS are impossible if every principle of evolution is denied. One cannot be fully aware of the risks involved in the significant decline in biodiversity and climate change if the mechanisms of evolution are not understood.
Our modern world is based on a long history, of which the development of science and technology forms an important part. However, the scientific approach is still not well understood and this is liable to encourage the development of all manner of fundamentalism and extremism. The total rejection of science is definitely one of the most serious threats to human rights and civic rights.
The war on the theory of evolution and on its proponents most often originates in forms of religious extremism which are closely allied to extreme right-wing political movements. The creationist movements possess real political power. The fact of the matter, and this has been exposed on several occasions, is that some advocates of strict creationism are out to replace democracy by theocracy.
All leading representatives of the main monotheistic religions have adopted a much more moderate attitude. Pope Benedict XVI, for example, as his predecessor Pope John-Paul II, today praises the role of the sciences in the evolution of humanity and recognises that the theory of evolution is "more than a hypothesis".
The most intransigent of the supporters of creationism claim that the world was created by God in six days and maintain that the transformist or evolutionist theories that conflict with the Bible, according to which God created each plant or animal species individually, can only be lies. They say that science is wrong because, in the strictest possible sense, the Bible says something else – which reminds us, incidentally, of the trial of a man called Galileo.
Prohibiting the teaching of key theories, such as evolution, is totally against children’s educational interests. Education has a duty to be a means of enabling children, young people and adults to become important players in the transformation of societies, whereas adopting a denialist stance on scientifically proven theories constitutes a brake on education and the intellectual and personal development of thousands of children.
The knowledge it provides cannot be arbitrarily challenged. By denying proven facts, the creationist ideas do not contribute to the transformation of societies but to making them become archaic.
The creationists are in fact supporters of a radical return to the past, which could prove particularly harmful in the long term for all our societies. This is therefore a crucial issue.
As we have seen, evolution is not simply a matter of the evolution of humans and populations. It now pervades the whole of science and is one of its fundamental principles, so it appears legitimate to consider the consequences that denying evolution could have on the development of our societies. How, for example, can advances be made in medical research with the aim of effectively combating diseases like AIDS if every principle of evolution is denied? Basically, evolution pervades all medical research. How can we consider living in a world without medicine? That appears absurd, but removing the teaching of evolution from the curriculum, as advocated by the creationists, could result in a considerable reduction in, if not the end of, medical research.
In addition, the "scientific" approach adopted by the creationists to put forward and support their ideas is itself a particularly dangerous instrument of mental manipulation: presenting a thesis as a scientific theory without providing any evidence can be compared to an attempt to manipulate minds for purposes that are, moreover, scarcely virtuous. As Charles Otis Whitman, an American zoologist (1842-1910) wrote, "Facts without theory is chaos, but theory without facts is fantasy". Accordingly, as G. Lecointre notes, any clever manipulator relies on "facts" alone.
The science of evolution, like any science, does not claim to answer the question "why things are" but simply seeks to consider how they work.
Finally, there are, especially in the United States, a number of aberrations inherent in the denialism practised against evolution and in the accompanying proselytising. A documentary film by Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady, entitled Jesus Camp and released in the United States in autumn 2006, provides evidence of them. It shows a Pentecostal minister, Becky Fisher, who has opened in a North Dakota forest a holiday camp overtly devoted to the indoctrination of children. In front of the camera, she explains that from the age of 7 to 9 a human being can be made to believe anything and that that remains engraved in their brain for life. Fisher says she found her model among the Muslim fundamentalists. This documentary reveals all the violence and fanaticism of the most radical of the creationist movements and the effectiveness with which they succeed in manipulating human beings.
I urge the Encounter_God and House_Of_The_Lord rooms, who are known to be extremist Creationist rooms to become 18+ rooms and protect our children from the dangerous owners who teach these denialist stances.

Christian Hate Forum
The next thread we bring your attention to is an exciting ditty, the main thread in the other forum and our prime example , so far ,of the religious hatred that can found in the some of the God rooms and the people who frequent them.
Audrey once again sets the tone for this debacle, We bring you the best bits.
She writes
`The owner of this room is a power hungry person who kicks people out of her room for no reason. Celly accused someone of being someone else so disabled this person just on the assumption that he was his brother.`
She agrees with this blog , we have blogged about this on several occasions.
`This room is full of false Christians who do not know what it means to be Christ like.`
This is a wide ranging accusation
The next big post comes when someone makes an accusation to the people that are posting in the forum are just bullying Celly.
First on the scene was loftylover who complained in the most hilarious manner that Celly and the user who made the bullying accusation were judgmental and then made a judgemental decision right after in the next sentence , Sigmund Freud would of had a field day.
Next we have a vile little character called bounty_hunter trying to intimidate her with threats , makes accusations about her sexuality, and her religious faith.
Crikey lol- the language of these religious folks is particularly blue
The next one on the scene was _Mr_LoVeR_ another delightful character who said

I can stand up for myself, unlike Celly. She is the one who punished me for some fake reason and didn't have the balls to apologize. She just ran away. The House_Of_The_Lord was originally ran by a group of kids who asked Pizzaboy5 to sponsor A Christian room on camfrog. So a room was setup where religious discussion was free and easy, a joy to go into and one of the most popular rooms in the general section of camfrog.
There was no rules outside the common curtesy of treating everybodies views with respect.
People from every religion and walk of life was made all different colors and peace , love and harmony reigned throughout the land.
The room owner at the time had his own life to lead so he so he left the room in safe hands with a few people and that when the troubles began.
The room started to turn nasty , religious bigotry started to raise its ugly head and Fundementalist Christian Faith took over.
You could no longer debate, They were right , you were wrong , appose them and you were disabled and/or banned
At this time Pizzaboy5 was taking an interest in the room and made a power grab for it because the room owner was gone. Who was there to oppose him ?
This was the time when Audrey was made the Head Admin of the room , She argued with people nuked , disabled and banned people on a whim and still noone else who was red in the room batted an eyelid. The people who should of done something didn't.
It got all too much for the congregation at the time, pizzaboy5 takeover of the room , Audreys bullying and the rise in fundementalist faith
The Congregation whose original room it was walked out and started up their own room.
Now we come to Audreys blog and were going to dissect it,
`Well to bring people up to date on what transpired since the last post about theis and to let those who did not know about it know. I was banned from the room House_Of_The_Lord about 6 months ago for not backing the room owner, Pizzaboy5,`
Here is the understanding that she originally backed pizzaboy5 in the grab of the room and anyone who apposed pizzaboy in the room was banned.
She then goes on to explain the abusive room colors and her demotion from red to black and then again agrees with what this blog says about the religious intolerance in certain rooms by stating `Funny how one can go from teacher to non-christian at the touch of a button and because someone wants to put down someone for disagreeing with them.What a sad case for Pizzaboy5 in him calling himself a Christian. I really don't believe he knows what a TRUE Christian is.`
Underneath this is even more religious hate by a user named Mario
Yes_I_Am_A_Jesus_Freak, you are the "ONLY" one still to this day that I know of that actually follows the ways of Christianty, out of the whole entire Camfrog site.The_House_Of_The_Lord ----> should of been called <--- "The_House_Of_Satan" owned and run by the false prophet himself, Pizzaboy5. Later through the thread there is even more abuse of pizzaboy5 even by the Administrator of the forum. and finally someone asks the question `Why on earth would a Christian ban another Christian from a room when Christians are supposed to care about each other and love each other ?`

Shocking. When we informed the owner we were reviewing their room and told them they were being interviewed, before we even started, things got shady quick. The room owners seemed a bit nervous and offered their own jokes. Even through words on a screen it was obvious they were intimidated.

Others who had stood up to this room were banned for disagreeing with the room or making some kind of debate. If you're confident of your room and your faith, why not just continue the debate?
Are you avoiding "drama" or the truth?
Therefore, because of the banning when people do not think exactly the same way of this room and the abuse of control, combined with the disgusting acts of discrimination we give this room a 1. Why? Because we can not go any lower.

Room Owner Goes Ballistic On Users Eulogy
This is the best example of Bible Room hate yet. This is truly one of the most horrific and disturbing events we have seen yet. July 29th, 2009 was a time for peace and love. Many paid their respects to the deceased user, Matness, in the room A_House_Of_Prayer. Heartfelt messages were sent by those who had cared and the rest were unnecessary comments by jealous users.
Finbutterfly, who was unable to use her microphone at the time, set up her eulogy on the well known site "YouTube". This is the video.
The room owner of The_Lamb_of_God_Ministries, cellycel_2, logged on to her account, squeekers22 to send hate-filled messages harassing the youtuber/frog user.

Sexual Harassment By Bible Room Operators
. One of the operators in one of the religious room has become known for harassing several women. We find it fascinating that this ex-con/Bible room operator repeatedly tells women he wants to be their "brother". Women have sent numerous e-mails to That Frog News asking us to "spill the frog beans" with this particular operator, in hope that the harassment would come to a stop.
This is becoming to be like a lifetime channel.

Room Review: Acoustic_Jam

We found a room that we consider to be fantastic, a room with a purpose. To ThatFrogNews Acoustic_Jam is the rock cafe of the frog. Great music, great people, and excellent talent. We came in to see around 20-30 people just enjoying themselves and having fun.
We didn't see too many bans or kicks aside from those who came in to show their tally wacker. In fact, we were even fortunate enough to find a video on YouTube from one of the musicians! Good old fashion fun. We are so pleased to find a room that was actually entertaining.

Bible rooms + Slutty OP's= Porn & Drama
Ladies and gentlemen.. we believe this may be our most controversial article yet. This is going to be fun! Unfortunately, we have to keep it a secret as to whom and what rooms the drama has taken place.
We were recently asked what rooms contain the most drama and gossip. We will be honest, rooms that contain the words "God" or "Heaven" or "Bible" are the most dramatic. Now, to spill the beans.
One of the room female operators in one of the "bible rooms" was said to have sent numerous nude photographs to her room users. She was also reported to have engaged with multiple users in cyber sex. Some may complain about the sexual harassment while others are attracted to the room for cyber sex. This particular room is like the whorehouse in the back of the massage parlor.
We were really confused about this at first until we learned it's not a bad idea. Some churches attract people with food, music, and bracelets that say "WWJD". This is the same thing. The only difference being instead of buying gothic Jesus T shirts you get free porn. This way you can say "I love you" as a promotional code to get free nudes.

This room was embarrassing to stoners. After enough talk on guns, beef jerky, and how to kill quails, and a lesson on torturing small animals we had enough. We came in expecting humor and ended up listening to a redneck give a lesson on torturing a squirrel. We just found this annoying.
This was all combined with immature OP's blocking and unblocking one anothers mics and a twist of your momma jokes from the bots. This room was rated on a scale of 0-10 as a 2.

A Tribute to Matness
We would like to remember the former owner of the room "House of Prayer" known as "Matness" who passed away last Thursday at the age of 34 after being hit by a bolt of lightening. Rumour has it, he was standing outside of a mosque in Vancouver, Canada during a sermon he was giving from the Qu'ran.
Matness has no survivors.
A memorial will be held for Matness in the room "House of Prayer" on July 29th, 2009 at 10:00 PM est. We will be hoping for a streaming video live from the funeral.

Today is the day ShadowFire will be lost in contact. I will be seeing fin on the other side, where love and hatred are their own separate world, and hardly combine as one. There is a line, where one should spread lies about someone else because they hardly know them. . Or because they think it’s funny. There is a line where you have to fight your own battles, and call the cops. I mean, seriously, come on. . . Grow up a little inside, get a good book once in a while, and stop being a bunch of jerks. You all reject one another, hate each other. . And then when peace befalls you all for the short time of glory, it happens again. And again. And again. There will be a time, when you all realize that stupid little fact in life. . . You’ll have to make your own foot prints in the sand, because the other’s washed away. . .
These so called “Rooms for God” keep popping up like daisies. . And yet no one can keep a room like this alive for more than a year, or even less. And when you piss someone off, they all go and make a new “God Room” And it just get’s worse. . And worse. . . If you cannot get along, then don’t associate with people. No one on here, (except for a select few) are real religious people. You’re all a fake. . You don’t practice what you preach because as soon as someone disagrees, you ban or spread things about them. . You cannot accept someone as who they are. . You accept them as what they are, and that is unacceptable. You may sit there and pretend that you‘re all sweet and innocent, and forgive everyone. But as soon as the lights are shut off, you‘re this freaking demon in disguise. (For those of you who didn’t know. . I’m an Atheist. I hung around “God Rooms” Because it was interesting to see how you all acted about each other.
And you know what, it’s quite pitiful I feel bad for you all, only because you lack the social skills to get along. All you do is swear at each other, and don’t follow your own rules. Get a god damn mirror and look at yourselves for a change, see what you become when you go out and attack someone. Also, choose your friends wisely. . . )
As I said, about a year ago, before you all became even more blind to who you are. . . Love each other like you never have before. . . All it takes is a few simple words, before you realize what you have lost And once you have lost a few good friends, because of your blind hatred of facts that you found out about them. . . Then there is nothing to gain. . . Live like you would die tomorrow, make the most of your life by loving, not by brining hatred and pain to other’s lives when they have done nothing to you. . .
Who knows, maybe I’ll sneak around on a different name, or never come back. It all depends really. . . Is there really anything to miss besides messing with the perverts on there?

When I found out about this place. I thought it was a fantastic idea. It could be used as a way to for-warn the people who wish to join cam frog, and tell them what happens there. Kudos who thought of it. But sadly, I must add more to this than what you see here. . . This is my farewell letter to those of you who were my friends on cam frog.
It breaks my heart to write this letter, and I’m sorry. But I had to leave this place. The continual attacking of each other. . . The continual threats, the death threats. . . I mean come on people. . . Most of you here from cam frog, are screw ups. Threatening to call the cops when half of us don’t even live in the same country? Is that what today’s society is falling into now? No one can fight their own battles and win them, because the cops have to get involved. . ? Finally, Change. And screenname death.
Some might call it a type of Obama Moment in the room The********God. There was a feeling of peace and love in the room. For once. If only there were more sermons.
In what we might call a Pastor, DW gave a personal speech in the room on love, peace, and harmony. It was a lovely one hour sermon, topped with a terrific a cover of Casting Crown's "Who I am" by Be*****ggin.
"DW" as he must prefer to be called plays live music 24/7 in the room The_House_Of_Prayer. Feel free to go in there and enjoy yourself.
Also, we would like to bid farewell to one user who have informed of us of their departing of the frog. They have written a "Goodbye Johnny Letter" they would all like you to read.

I was relieved when I found your blog because then I learned that there will be something to show the world what a bullshit place this is. There is no love, there is only hate. It's funny how a keyboard and a screen, even the virtual world is a reflection of the peoples souls. And if this is a looking glass for the soul, I am finished.
I hope that people will someday learn to speak in love. However, some seem to strive to live in hate, anger. There is no wonder why all in time leave. My wish is for all to stop. Stop with the lies, the "police calling", the death threats, the anger, the name-calling, and the gossip.

Recently, there has been talks of racial discrimination in one of the rooms. The story is OP's of the room had banned people simply because of their racial profile. When the owner had discovered this she had immediately banned the operators for racist behavior. However, I was sent a message earlier this morning regarding the event.

Numerous users have informed our interviewer that the accusations against the room En****d were false, otherwise misinterpreted. However, the accusations against the room The*******God by Miss Celiac, were understood to be true.
